This is a photo and film series that my friend Michael Iluma and I conceptualized in partnership with Michael Jordan’s brand. The project is centered around the concept of television channels, meant to reflect the different eras that the Jordan brand has gone through over the years, hence the various locations and different styles of light/clothing.
Catch and Release
Imagery in conjunction with a film I created for a video class in March of 2019. The purpose of this project was about confronting growing pains, acknowledging and celebrating the ways you’ve changed, and releasing control.
Exploration of Movement
A collaboration between Aidan Carberry, Sadie Wilking and I, in January of 2019. This project was about celebrating and amplifying the relationship between movement, emotion and relationship.
This project is about my friend Michael Iluma’s transition from Nigeria to the United States in early high school, and the ways in which it shaped his experiences navigating young adulthood, masculinity and tenderness.
This was a project I directed for my senior thesis piece. It is centered around my growth as an artist, accepting my creative process, leaning into the frustrating moments, and accessing entry points into each project I complete.
where we go from here
I created this photo series for my photography class, in the midst of a particularly difficult period during my junior year of college. I felt so much tension regarding my photography career, and wasn’t sure where I wanted to take it. I wanted to direct a photo shoot that reflected a release of this frustration, and signified a turning point.
